CES Assistant Principal Announcement

Collierville Elementary Families - 

We are sad to announce that Ms. Sheree Perez will be leaving her role as Assistant Principal at CES to join the Collierville Schools Central Office as the District Testing Coordinator starting in January. While we will truly miss her leadership and the care she’s shown to our students and staff, we’re excited to see the positive impact she’ll have in this new role for Collierville Schools.

For the past 20 years, Ms. Perez has given her heart to Collierville Elementary as a classroom teacher and assistant principal, supporting students and teachers, and helping build a school where every child feels valued and inspired to succeed. Her dedication and love for this community will always be part of our Little Dragon family.

At the same time, I am pleased to announce that Ms. Kortney Goodwin has been named Interim Assistant Principal at CES. Ms. Goodwin brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student success. She holds a Master’s in Leadership and Policy Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Minor in Mathematics, both from the University of Memphis. She has also earned IT Foundations and Network+ certifications through Tech901, reflecting her passion for integrating technology into education.

With 11 years of classroom experience teaching grades K–8, including first grade (all subjects), fourth grade (Math and Science), and middle school intervention and math, Ms. Goodwin has a proven record of supporting student achievement. She also served four years as a PLC Coach and has spent the past 3.5 years as a School Technology Specialist (STS) at Crosswind Elementary School.

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Goodwin to the Little Dragon family and in wishing Ms. Perez the very best in her new role!
