CES School Counseling Program

CES has three counselors on staff, Bethany Holland, Clarissa Owens, and Thomas Stafford. The counselors provide classroom counseling lessons, small groups, and individual counseling.
The CES School Counseling Program's mission is to support all students in their academic, career, and social/emotional development so that they may become life-long learners, effective decision-makers, and global thinkers.
The CES School Counseling Program will collaborate with staff, parents, students, and the community and is committed to the ongoing development and delivery of a comprehensive school counseling program.
Why Elementary School Counselors?
Elementary school years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent, and confident learners. Through a comprehensive developmental school counseling program, school counselors work as a team with the school staff, parents, and the community to create a caring climate and atmosphere. By providing education, prevention, early identification, and intervention, school counselors can help all children achieve academic success. The professional elementary school counselor holds a master’s degree and requires state certification in school counseling. Click here to learn more about the role of a school counselor.
